The Société d’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) is a government corporation whose mission is to
mandate, in particular, to insure all drivers, passengers, pedestrians and cyclists who
are involved in an accident on the public network, whether or not they are at fault
of the accident.

There are certain exclusions (non-exhaustive list) for which compensation is not paid.
